I work on re­duc­ing biolog­i­cal risks, mostly fo­cused on re­duc­ing ex­is­ten­tial risks to hu­man­ity. One ma­jor path­way by which such catas­tro­phes could come about is by hu­mans de­liber­ately caus­ing them, e.g. via the cre­ation and re­lease of mir­ror bac­te­ria.
